Marykate brings over a decade of experience to DS Business Support. After running her own salon in her early twenties, she discovered a passion for bookkeeping, completed her AAT qualifications, and went on to build DS into the supportive, family‑focused business it is today. She’s especially proud of the systems and culture she’s created, a flexible, people‑first environment that helps both clients and staff thrive. She values the strong relationships she’s built with accountants across the UK and loves working with clients from a wide range of industries, always eager to learn about the challenges and successes each one faces. Outside of work, she enjoys a quiet weekend at home, a good film, or a trip to her local pub for pizza and a glass of white.

TRAINEE BOOKKEEPER

Vicky supports the team as a Trainee Bookkeeper, bringing experience from her background in finance and banking. After returning to work when her daughter started school, she joined DS to explore the world of bookkeeping and quickly became an invaluable part of the team. Known for her organisation and love of a good list, she takes pride in meeting deadlines and maintaining clarity in her work. Vicky enjoys the supportive culture within the team and the opportunity to give clients confidence that their books are well looked after. Outside of work, she and her family are looking forward to enjoying weekends in Weymouth again as their year‑long home renovation nears completion.

PAYROLL & SALES MANAGER

Patrick Snr oversees the full payroll process with a methodical, thorough approach that reflects her natural talent for numbers and analytical thinking. She thrives in a flexible role and is especially proud of her organised, detail‑driven work ethic. He loves being part of a vibrant, professional team where everyone brings their own strengths, creating a supportive environment for both colleagues and clients. For Jenny, ensuring employees are paid correctly is the most rewarding part of the job, happy employees mean happy clients.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys weekends spent watching sport and spending time with his family.

Jenny moved to Bristol twenty‑five years ago and began building her career in accounts within the construction industry. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in CIS payments, deductions, and the specialist financial processes that support construction businesses. She has remained dedicated to the industry ever since.

Around a decade ago, Jenny had the pleasure of training Marykate, which makes joining her company now an especially meaningful milestone Jenny is excited for this new chapter, the opportunities ahead, and the chance to apply her expertise across a variety of industries.

VIRTUAL ASSISTANT

With extensive experience in team management and customer service, Megan joined DS Business Support to expand her skills and contribute to a fast‑growing professional environment. After discussing opportunities with Marykate, the role offered an ideal chance to develop within a new sector while supporting the wider team. Since joining, Megan has valued the friendly, collaborative atmosphere and is committed to progressing in her position as she learns from those around her. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her young nieces and nephews, as well as live music, dining out, and staying active to maintain balance.
