DS Business Support November Newsletter & HMRC Updates

DS November Newsletter & HMRC Updates

Good Evening

What's new with DS Business Support

Christmas opening hours

Please note below the dates our office will be closed:

22nd December to 27th December (returning on the 28th & 29th)

Closed on the 1st (returning on the 2nd)

  • Unfortunately - Comma has ceased trading from 30th November - which means they will no longer be providing batch payroll and supplier payments. For those of you who use Comma with us – I will be setting up a new integration this month in time for December payments and will be in touch with you individually with an update - the majority will be migrated over to Xero and Apron

  • NEW!!! – we are proud to announce we now have hotdesking available. Choose from one of our 3 desks to hire for a day rate of just £20.00 – or a reduced rate for a long term rent – more information, and pictures of the office / site can be found on the following link Daily Office Rentals | Offsiteoffice | Bristol (theoffsiteoffice.co.uk)

  • Don't forget: If you are always hands on at work and struggle to keep on top of admin and paying suppliers, we are here to take that off your to do list. We have teamed up with a great software company which integrate with your Xero - meaning any bills which are due are paid on time - without us needing direct access to your bank account. If you would like more information on this service, please let me know - this can also be used for paying wages

  • Don't forget, it isn't only bookkeeping we do here - we are also available as Virtual Assistants to keep on top of your emails, invoicing, chasing clients' invoices owed to you - clearing out junk emails and making you aware of only the emails which you need to action

HMRC Updates

HMRC have announced changed to National Insurance contributions from 6th January 2023 for the employed and the self-employed. This announcement is a positive one as its being reduced! You can find all information you need for this on the below link

Corporation Tax Changes HMRC have changed the way they are charging Corporation Tax.

- This mainly effects companies with a yearly profit of £250k and over, who will now pay 25% rather than 19%. - Corp Tax will also be changing for companies who earn between £50k - £250K profit and will be on a variable percentage charge - Profit under £50k for this year will remain on the original 19%
