What's new with DS Business Support

  • Unfortunately - Comma has ceased trading from 30th November - which means they will no longer be providing batch payroll and supplier payments. For those of you who use Comma with us – I will be setting up a new integration this month in time for December payments and will be in touch with you individually with an update

  • Don't forget: If you are always hands on at work and struggle to keep on top of admin and paying suppliers, we are here to take that off your to do list. We have teamed up with a great software company which integrate with your Xero - meaning any bills which are due are paid on time - without us needing direct access to your bank account. If you would like more information on this service, please let me know - this can also be used for paying wages

  • Don't forget, it isn't only bookkeeping we do here - we are also available as Virtual Assistants to keep on top of your emails, invoicing, chasing clients' invoices owed to you - clearing out junk emails and making you aware of only the emails which you need to action

HMRC Updates

HMRC have released a new employer bulletin this month. To read about any changes that might effect your business, you can do so on the following link


Corporation Tax Changes HMRC have changed the way they are charging Corporation Tax.

- This mainly effects companies with a yearly profit of £250k and over, who will now pay 25% rather than 19%. - Corp Tax will also be changing for companies who earn between £50k - £250K profit and will be on a variable percentage charge - Profit under £50k for this year will remain on the original 19%

There isnt any important changes within DS and HMRC over the last month, however, there was a lot to take in during the August Newsletter, so I felt it important to send this through again. As always, if you have any questions at all - please do let me know



What's new with DS Business Support


  • As you are aware, the cost of everything in the UK is increasing. We are hearing about increased prices on a daily basis. From September, Xero will be increasing their prices of all packages. If you are a client who reimburse DS Business Support for your Xero subscription, this will mean your September invoice will be slightly higher. If you pay by standing order, please can you adjust this payment accordingly once you have received your September invoice from us. You can find details of the price increase on the following link.
